CINET organizes new PTC Global Best Practice Awards in 2018

Following the successful first edition of the PTC Global Best Practice Awards (GBPA) in 2016, CINET is now preparing for the new edition of 2018. The GBPA2018 will be even bigger, with 150 participating nominees from over 40 countries. Nominations are welcomed!

New initiative

CINET has set up this new initiative to profile Global PTC Business Models of Best Practices. The Global Best Practice Awards Ceremony will take place during EXPOdetergo period in Milan, October 19th, 2018. CINET members worldwide are invited to apply nominees for these prestigious awards.

There is no registration fee, the top 40 candidates will be invited to Milan with a special invitation from CINET. The top 150 candidates will receive free 2-page editorial in Volume no. 6 of the “The World of PTC” series with its own Corporate Profile of Best Practices. This new book will offer a global overview of Best Practices in Retail Textile Cleaning and Industrial Laundering, all together Professional Textile Care (PTC).

Categories and awards

Both for the category retail Textile Cleaning as well as the category industrial laundry / Textile Service there will be 3 awards:

  • Overall Best Practices award
  • Innovation award
  • Sustainability award



National awards

New in this edition will be national awards to precede the Global Best Practice Awards. Agreements has been established in 7 countries by now (France, UK, Italy, The Netherlands, China, Indonesia, CEE-region). The Overall winners of the National awards will be automatically invited to participate in the GBPAP2018.

The LADAs 2017 announced

The LADAs will, once again, take place at Mercedes-Benz World, Brooklands, Surrey, on Thursday 2 November 2017. LCT and CINET have set up a cooperation to connect the LADAs as national awards to the PTC Global Best Practice Awards 2018.

The (commercial) laundry and dry cleaner of the year award winners will automatically be nominated for the Global Best Practice Awards 2018 (GBPA2018).

Companies can either enter themselves or nominate individuals or other companies for the LADAs, unless stated otherwise. The Lifetime contribution award, being the pinnacle of achievement, will recognise the dedication, commitment and support given to our sector over a period of at least 30 years.

CINET will be represented in the judging panel of respected industry professionals for the LADAs. The panel will have a challenging task to identify the top three entries for each category. The final selection will take place prior to the presentation ceremony. All finalists will be invited to the awards evening where the winners will be announced and presented with their accolade and certificate.

JET EXPO: 3 days of meetings to broaden your horizons

JET EXPO is the first exhibition in France entirely devoted to the entire chain of textile care. A meeting place for suppliers and industry experts and where the industry’s latest innovations will be shared.
During a three day program several meetings and conferences are scheduled where experts of the textile care industry, and professional clothing will be reviewing several topics:
  • How can we increase performance and improve results?
  • What will be the new jobs and the new markets of tomorrow?
  • What is happening elsewhere and how do they do?

The Innovation Trophies reward the best innovations of the exhibitors. This year, the competition opens to innovations from weave professionals and professional clothing manufacturers. Also BtoB meetings are set up between exhibitors and buyers to establish new national and international markets.

In partnership with CINET, Jet Expo organizes the National Best Practices Awards. There will be categories for environmental, societal and social matters. Winners are invited to compete for the Global Best Practice Awards that will be held at Expo Detergo (Milan, 2018).
