Texon Textile Cleaning from Tilburg, the Netherlands received a “Green ribbon award” from the Dutch political party Groen Links (Green Left) on 26 May 2012. The “Green ribbon” represents an outstanding performance on sustainability and shows a clear appreciation for the efforts of the Dutch Textile Cleaning industry on sustainability in the past years. This award should not only be seen as an appreciation, but also demonstrates the acceptance of Professional Textile Cleaning as a highly sustainable activity within society. Texon Textile Cleaning is working according the E-Dryclean educational program that provides PTC professionals with Best Practices in Safe & Sustainable Processing in Professional Textile Cleaning.
International Standard in Safe & Sustainable Processing
CINET will present the International Standard in Safe & Sustainable Processing to members and press on Sunday 6 May at 12.30hrs (Genius Room, Hall 9.1) at Texcare Frankfurt. This new standard will be signed by participating experts from all over the world.
The “Green Ribbon” is provided on a yearly basis by Dutch political party Groen Links to individuals, social organizations or entrepreneurs who distinguish themselves in the field of environmental
protection, energy efficiency and corporate social responsibility. Texon is the first drycleaner ever to receive such an important award.
