India Best Practices Awards 2026: professionalisation gaining momentum

More than an awards programme, the event was a moment to meet, exchange experiences and learn from one another. It brought together people from across India’s Professional Textile Care industry who share the same ambition: to keep improving the sector together.

India insights

The event was organised in Kochi, South India, providing a beautiful setting for a fantastic event. Several associations were invited to present their initiatives and perspectives on the development of the industry. CINET presented the Strategy Study, including key insights on the Indian Professional Textile Care market, as well as the programme for the Global Best Practices Awards 2026 in Milan on 22–23 October 2026. The India Best Practices Awards 2026 brought together eight professional textile care companies, showing the many ways in which the Indian market is developing. Sustainability, innovation, service, entrepreneurship and customer experience all played an important role in the stories shared by the participants.

A market moving towards professionalisation

One of the strongest impressions from the event was the development taking place across the Indian market. Each company brought its own story, experiences and ideas, from professional processing and customer service to sustainability, digitalisation and new business models. All eight participating companies received an Official Nominee Award, recognising their contribution to the development of the Indian textile care industry. Together, their presentations showed a market that is becoming more organised and professional, while still reflecting the diversity and entrepreneurial character of the Indian industry.

CINET Overall Winner – Cleanovo

The CINET Overall Award 2026 was presented to Cleanovo. The jury recognised the company’s professional approach, modern management and focus on high-quality textile care, including the treatment of more demanding items such as leather goods, shirts etc.

CINET Sustainability Award 26 – Quick SmartWash

Quick Smartwash received the Sustainability Award 2026, recognising its approach to sustainable processing and its combination of quality, professional service and IT.

CINET Innovation Award – The Laundry Concierge

The Innovation Award 2026 was presented to The Laundry Concierge, recognising its innovative business model, entrepreneurship and strong focus on customer satisfaction and retention. Innovation was visible in many different forms, from technology and digitalisation to new service concepts and closer relationships with customers.

International jury evaluation

The participating companies were evaluated on Quality, Sustainability, Business Model & Service Concept, Innovation and their presentation. The evaluation is an important part of the Best Practices programme. The Indian and CINET jury members appeared to be quite unanimous in their evaluation, reflecting a shared view of the participants’ performance and the developments presented during the event. Equally valuable is the opportunity for companies to share their experiences, learn from each other and see how colleagues in different parts of the industry approach similar challenges.

Great Final in Milan

As Overall Winner, Cleanovo will represent India as a finalist at the Global Best Practices Awards 2026 in Milan in October. This connects the Indian programme with the wider international Professional Textile Care community and gives participants the opportunity to continue the exchange of ideas and experiences beyond the national event.

India, Fastest growth in the world

The India Best Practices Awards 2026 reflected an industry in transition, with companies responding to changing customer expectations, new technology and growing attention to sustainability and quality. Quite an achievement for a country of 1.4 billion people, with significant opportunities for further development in the years to come.
