Cleaning Consultancy Delft (CCD) has recently launched a new initiative in the Netherlands: MijnWasGoedDoen.nl, a platform dedicated to improving hygiene and infection prevention throughout the entire healthcare textile chain. The initiative was developed in close collaboration with infection prevention specialist Ellanie de Bruijne. The platform was officially introduced during the VHIG Congress on April 15–16 in Veldhoven, where over 250 infection prevention professionals were introduced to the concept. Representatives Ellanie de Bruijne and Anthony Hendriks engaged with many enthusiastic visitors, highlighting the growing need for integrated approaches to textile hygiene in healthcare.
MijnWasGoedDoen.nl brings together CCD’s extensive expertise in professional textile processing with Ellanie de Bruijne’s in-depth experience in infection prevention. This unique combination enables a comprehensive, chain-wide approach — from laundry facilities to patient use and back — particularly within long-term care environments. With new guidelines such as the Dutch SRI standard for linen in long-term care as a foundation, the platform supports healthcare organizations and laundries in managing and optimizing infection risks. A key principle is that effective infection prevention requires involvement from all stakeholders across the chain, including policy makers and operational teams. The website features a growing knowledge base with practical insights, alongside services such as on-site consultancy, audits, and training programs. The ultimate goal is clear: to structurally reduce infection risks and prevent outbreaks. With this initiative, CCD demonstrates how integrated expertise and collaboration can drive innovation in infection prevention. Not only in the Netherlands, but as a model for broader international application.
