Expanding employee wellbeing with charity partnership

In the UK, family run business Snow White Laundries is the latest textile care company to improve its employee wellbeing services with the Fashion & Textile Children’s Trust. (FTCT) The new partnership was officially launched in October.

Matt Guy – the company’s operations manager – is pleased with the partnership. He stated: “FTCT is an excellent charity for our sector and a fantastic service to be able to offer our people.” In the past five years, FTCT has awarded more than £33,000 in grants to families in the textile care industry, through its work with 16 textile care organisations.FTCT provides grants to families where a parent works (or has worked) in the clothing or textile industry and is experiencing financial difficulty. The grants help industry families afford essentials at home, such as children’s clothing, essential appliances and bedroom furniture. The grants are based on the Trust’s belief that when basic needs are met at home, it creates benefits for families and employers. Thus, the industry as a whole will benefit.
