In the US, Healthcare Linen Services Group (HLSG) – a provider of healthcare laundry services headquartered in Illinois – reported to have acquired Linen King, based in Oklahoma. As part of York Capital Management’s private equity group, the company provides services in the country’s Midwest and Central part.
Since Linen King is a large independent provider of healthcare laundry services in the South-Central part of the country, the acquisition enables HLSG to expand its operations and add new customers to its service. Founded in 1999, Linen King serves about 460 customers across seven facilities in five states and processes approximately 100 million pounds of healthcare laundry each year. Chris Corcoran – the firm’s chief executive officer – will remain with the business and serve as the regional chief operating officer of HLSG.
According to Joe LaPorta – president and CEO of HLSG – this partnership confirms his company’s commitment to a growth strategy inclusive of expanding geographical reach, increased processing capacity and the ability to service customers even more extensively. The Linen King transaction represents HLSG’s fourth acquisition since York Private Equity made a strategic growth investment in March 2022.
