Moderator: Peter N.M. Wennekes, CEO of CINET
For decades it was felt by many professionals within the PTC industry that the pace of innovation was going to slow. Only few real innovations and new technologies were introduced. That changed dramatically. Impressive new innovations in processing, Information Technologies, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and last but not least new advanced circular textiles were introduced in the last decade. Revolutionary New Business Models with high investments were started and of course not always successful. But the dynamics and challenges are there and to be taken by entrepreneurs with a clear focus on cleaning services, processing and consistent innovation. The true SMART ADAPTERS.
Over the last 25 years Peter Wennekes worked within the Professional Textile Care industry being the CEO of the Dutch Associations NETEX (retail), FTN (BtoB) and VEMATEX (suppliers), the Technology Institute TKT, the education foundation TCT, CITV (purchase of energy), Bosatex (soil remediation program) and a variety of other foundations. Since 2005 Peter was appointed also as CEO of CINET, organizing international research, education, certification and building on a Global Network of Textile Care Professionals.
