Laundryheap expands its presence in Europe

Laundryheap- the on-demand laundry and dry-cleaning platform – has announced that it has acquired its French competitor Wast – which has been operating in the Paris area since 2017. The acquisition  is the latest in a series of global acquisitions and follows the company’s ongoing expansion since it was founded in 2014. In 2022, the company realized a 130 per cent growth.

With this latest acquisition operations have been realized in 11 international markets, including the UK, US, Singapore, the UAE, and now France. In the past year, the company has also taken over UK competitor Laundrapp and acquired the consumer operations of UK-based Oxwash. By acquiring Wast, the firm extends its scope to Paris.

The Wast brand will be replaced by the new brand name in the coming weeks, but team members will continue their job in the new entity. The new owner intends to increase the current Paris-based operations by creating new B2B partnerships, including a new service designed for Airbnb hosts. At the same time, the company aims at expanding the services geographically and plans to introduce new services such as repairs and carpet cleaning. Finally, the upcoming Olympic Games which will be held in the capital in 2024, will become an exploitation highlight.
