In India, many smaller and mid-sized commercial laundries still rely on highly subsidised or conventional fuels, or expensive electricity for their heating processes. However, as operating costs increase and the demand for faster, high-volume processing rises, there is a growing need for a shift towards cleaner, more cost-effective and highly efficient energy sources.
In a recent interview, Chief Marketing Officer at India-based Pune Gas – Nirav Bhimani – commented on this required transition and explained how his company is enabling Indian laundries to adopt smart, safe and efficient gas-based systems. As a pioneer in the gas systems and solutions space with 40 years of experience, the company plays a crucial role in the upcoming shift. The laundry industry depends on two vital resources: heat and water. The gas-systems company aims at solutions to the heat aspect and provides end-to-end infrastructure to commercial laundries that utilise LPG or piped gas for their operations. This includes everything from the washing and sanitisation process to the drying, steaming and pressing stages. The systems include LPGenius, the company’s smart LPG system.
