Polymark and Sankosha Europe: A Collaborative Step Forward in the Textile Cleaning Industry

At the BÖWE event in Sasbach, Polymark NL, represented by Ronald van Vliet, discussed future cooperation with Sankosha. This event marked the launch of Sankosha Europe, signaling a promising collaboration. The conversation focused on the potential impact on the Dutch market and technological advancements.

Disruption and Innovation
Sankosha, known for its disruptive presence in the textile cleaning industry, is expected to make a significant impact on the Dutch market. Ronald highlighted the innovative nature of Sankosha’s machines, particularly the new Finisher. “Sankosha is naturally a disruptive market player,” he stated. “The new Finisher taps into the market at the right moment.”
He emphasized the importance of reducing production costs amidst rising expenses and the need for automation due to labor shortages and increasing wages. “The combination of volume, cost savings, and accessibility through automation is key to offering competitive services,” Ronald explained.

The Benefits of Collaboration and European Distribution
Niels van Vliet discussed the strategic advantages of the collaboration, particularly in terms of offering a broad program to the Dutch market. “As a supplier, our strength lies in offering a diverse range of brands, with Sankosha as a top market leader,” he said. Additionally, the establishment of a European distribution center in Sasbach was highlighted as a significant logistical advantage, ensuring faster and more efficient access to products.

The Future of IT and Automation in the Industry
The conversation also touched on the future role of IT and automation in textile cleaning companies. Ronald emphasized the need for collaboration between IT companies and their clients to develop solutions that fit specific company needs. “It’s crucial to understand the company process and integrate an IT plan that works seamlessly,” he noted.
Niels added that the concept developed by BÖWE, involving a 150-euro-per-hour model, could be expanded with smart machines and IT solutions. “This concept provides a clear, short-term calculation for customers to assess feasibility,” he said. He sees this as a potential steppingstone for the new generation in the industry.
