2. In which countries and market sectors of Professional Textile Care did you work and did you gained experiences?
More than 130 worldwide being the most important market segments OPL drycleaning and laundry shops, vended laundries, ho.re.ca, hospital and big communities in general.
3. Could you please describe the most important characteristics and trends of the current PTC markets in terms of customer/market demand characteristics and trends?
Bio dryceaning or wet cleaning? By now after many years of continuous and highly damaging trade policies for the cleaning industry aimed at demonizing the drycleaning with triumphalist ads on the possibility of treating “each and all” just by washing; it’s slowly but irreversibly emerging, on the basis of concrete experiences, a period of greater serenity and awareness in judgments linked with the relationships between these two important components in our industry. There is no doubt in fact that in the current worldwide scenario of the professional garments cleaning industry the successful professional cannot avoid to offer an extremely complete service which must involve both the last generation of bio dry clearing machines and industrial washing machines; well-endowed with operational flexibility and productivity such as to be able to carry out the most customized cleaning techniques according to the garments treated. There is no doubt that in the textile care industry worldwide there is a clear and irreversible revolution in progress in. It concerns the concept of what used to be called dry-cleaning. The revolution is called BIO DRYCLEANING, that sees the innovative action combined with the BIO DRY-CLEANING MACHINES and natural solvents in order to offer results that have never been reached before as far as garments treatment and maintenance are concerned. First of all, THE MACHINES OFFER A SERVICE THAT GOES BEYOND JUST AN HIGH QUALITY CLEANING AS IT ALSO LEADS TO WELLBEING, BIOCOMPATIBILITY AND BIOSUSTAINABILITY.

SEE POINT NO.3 ABOVE
11. What do you see as the most important innovations of the (near) future and how do you believe these innovations will change the way the industry operates?
SEE POINT NO.3 ABOVE
12. According to many publications, a transformation of the PTC industry towards more customer and IT driven processing, is seen as essential to be successful in the future. What is your policy to adapt your business/service model to changing market demands?
Certainly as machines manufacturer we give priority to implement our products with a large use of IT. At the same time we are convinced that in our industry a key factor remains the proper training to the drycleaner and launderer about the use of IT. Infact the capability to use IT in our industry is still not sufficiently widespread thus making difficult sometimes the full and correct exploitation of the advantages provided by IT.
13. We have seen an enormous increase in scale of operation of PTC companies. Do you see there will be attractive opportunities also for the more smaller companies and what is needed for small companies to be successful?
Certainly the flexibility is much mor important than the dimension. Capability to adapt to market changes represents the key of success
14. How do you feel the PTC industry can take more market share in the markets of textile cleaning, compared to domestic washing?
Adding additional services to the garment cleaning only, such as logistic services, disinfection services to all the items contained in the customer’s day by day life not necessarily consisting in garment cleaning.
15. What do you see as major opportunities for the professional laundry and cleaning industry for the longer term future?
SEE POINT NO.3 ABOVE
16. What do you see as major threats for the PTC industry in the coming years?
The main treats we perceive in all countries where we are present is the believe that technology can be able to completely substitute the important personal skills and know how which are still making the difference in providing a quality service to the customers. A continuous a proper training on the best practices on PTC remains a priority. Moreover a drycleaner and launderer not well trained can be easily misleaded by false information that are very dangerous for the reputation and rentability of our industry.
17. What would you say industry (inter-)national associations should do to support the PTC industry professionally, now and in the future?
There is no doubt the associations are and will play a key role to the growt of our industry for the future. The suggestion is keeping very high the level of professionalism of the association through the training and the implementation of all events aimed to share experiences and best practices. Infact sharing experiences with other associates does not mean at all “loosing an advantage” but instead growing in the common interest of every individual and of the entire association.
18. What is your vision on the future perspective of the industry?
The industry has a promising and brilliant future plenty of opportunities and important occasions of growth. The cleaning industry is remain a business which gives an important answer to the needs of our society. It will certainly change and evolute while time goes by but will certainly represent an essential component of life
19. What is your key-message to your professional PTC colleagues for now and in the future?
Staying informed and continuously seeking to innovate is first and foremost a pleasure and then a profitable need !!!!
