For a few months now, textile service provider Mewa’s operation for Switzerland has been located in Oftringen. From this site, companies in German-speaking and French-speaking Switzerland as well as in Italian-speaking Ticino are equipped and supplied with company textiles as part of an all-round service for industry, trades, catering and the health sector.

With around 2,900 m², the company now operates a modern distribution centre for logistics and customer service. The complex includes a warehouse with a floor space of 2,200 m² and an office wing of 700 m². The large warehouses enable qualitative growth in all service areas and the office wing has a future-oriented workplace designed according to the latest ergonomic findings and enable collaboration within the work teams.

The company states that around 1.4 million cleaning cloths and around 42,000 items of work clothing are produced every month in an environmentally friendly manner in its certified facilities and then delivered back to customers. For the pick-up and delivery service, the company relies on future-oriented distribution logistics, with two hydrogen trucks supplementing the fleet. As to ecological solutions, the company covers part of the grid power requirements for the sales and warehouse building by contributing to the energy costs of a photovoltaic system.
