Family business Sicking from Munster has recently joined the German organization of medium-sized service providers for rental linen and textile care in the hotel industry Servitex. The company’s managing director Moritz Wildschütz stated that joining Servitex was an important decision in order to be securely positioned for the future. It enables to process national orders and supply hotel customers nationwide.
Wildschütz is running the company together with his brother in the fourth generation. The family business – founded in 1923 by great-grandmother Maria Sicking – has developed into a reliable partner for numerous hotels and hospitality businesses in the country.
Servitex has been able to acquire a leading role in the DACH-based (Germany, Austria & Switzerland) industry in the areas of sustainability and digitalization. In that respect, the Servitex members have committed themselves to promoting and implementing sustainable solutions for the hotel industry. Apart from that, the association also attaches great importance to sustainable alternatives for the textiles themselves. For instance, only “ Made in Green ” certified products are used and this certification includes an audit of the four central production steps of spinning, weaving, sewing and dyeing with regard to social and ecological factors.
