UK-based data logging company Signatrol has recently launched SL60 dLog, a new range of low cost, miniature button-style temperature loggers. Some of the loggers are specifically designed for commercial laundries and cleaners supplying healthcare environments to ensure washes reach effective thermal disinfection temperatures and meet ISO EN14065 standards.
Data loggers
Healthcare laundries can now use the company’s SL63T miniature data loggers to validate their washing machine sterilisation. The data loggers are used inside the washing machine drum to record the temperatures throughout the laundry cycle. The discrete, reusable mini temperature data loggers fit many applications, with temperature ranges from -40°C to +125°C with and to ensure validation of the sterilisation process. The SL63T data loggers can be supplied with UKAS traceable or accredited calibration certificates ensuring that the sterilisation process can be verified.
NFC Technology
Communication to the data logger is provided by the latest NFC technology. It means that the loggers can be added to the wash cycle many times without any loss in data accuracy. This is essential – not only for meeting the ISO standard, but also for ensuring that the washing process has been delivered in accordance with requirements. Saved records can be archived to show that the correct temperatures have been achieved and sustained according to the standards.
