Laundromat: “Essential position in community leads to growth!”

In the US, Oregon-based entrepreneurs Brad and Max Sabo (of “Brax” Laundry) opened their laundromat in 2022. In these COVID-19 times most customers were short on time, so the laundry  started to provide next-level services. First, in addressing the time savings element and the fact that the pandemic had created more laundry than normal, the owners worked with their distributor to add extra capacity.

In order to meet the increased demand for a higher-level clean, the duo added a “Brax Premium” cycle for customers seeking greater peace of mind. The cycle offered a longer wash as well as a pre-wash step and extra rinse. Apart from that, the company provided ozone injections for superior cleaning results in cold water, and even offered them for free.

However, the two business owners not only wanted to make money, they also wanted to make a difference in the community. That is why they partnered with ‘LoveOne Community’- a non-profit community-based organization committed to serving neighbours in need – providing clean laundry, showers, meals, personal care resources, and community connections. The pair is excited by the difference their business has made in the community. At the same time, their bottom-line results have gone-up and enabled them to open a second location.
