November 8-9, 2024 still seems so far away, but the timing for such an international event, including over 60 countries participating, is rather short. After the decision to organize this WORLD CONGRESS by the CINET Board last December, the Co-Hosts National Associations were invited to take part in an online meeting January 24th last, to discuss the plans. These (Member) National Associations committed themselves in an early phase of brainstorming and conceptual thinking. At the meeting this ambitious initiative was discussed in detail. The Co-hosts were asked to provide input for topics for the program as well as the organization. A lively discussion resulted in good extra tips and ideas, that are meanwhile implemented in the Operational Plan.
Tips
Especially the multilingual approach and the focus on business development were appreciated. Several suggestions for balancing/controlling the content of the program and personal networking were adopted. It was recognized that the scale of organization and operation require extra attention. An event like this for the PTC industry, is only possible with a great support of partners and volunteers throughout the WORLD. International professional cooperation is an objective and a tool to bring the industry forward.
