Germany-based Richard Geiss GmbH has developed a new solvent for industrial textile cleaning. – Alko Tex. The product is stated to have a convincing high fat-dissolving power, as well as a virucidal effect.
The newly developed solvent is a modified alcohol with a flash point of 63 °C, which is said to be particularly suitable for industrial textile cleaning. Thanks to its good dissolving power for polar and non-polar impurities, the substance also cleans heavily soiled mats and work clothing, The modified alcohol is also said to be virucidal and bactericidal. According to Dirk Schild – the company’s Head of Sales, the substance is especially effective against enveloped viruses, such as the corona virus, but also against yeast and fungi.
