Switzerland-wide textile cleaning and laundry service based on collection and delivery BUBBLEBOX, has recently received the “RWin 2022 – Textile Service of the Year” award – an initiative by German trade paper RW-textile service for the German-language textile services market.
Together with entrepreneur Roger Umbricht – member of board of directors’ nowadays – BUBBLEBOX founder and owner Jakob Hirzel entered the Swiss textile service market in 2017. After having lived in the US for some years, he missed being able to drop off and pick up laundry back home again.
Although the original idea was to install lockers with 24/7 access for customers – as can still be seen from the word “box” in the company name – customers can now book the laundry service via the website. The laundry is picked up at the ordered time, taken to production, professionally cleaned, washed, ironed and folded and returned in reusable and personalized “laundry bags” within 48 hours. Customers having no dry cleaning facility in their vicinity can order the so-called “Wöschpost”. Swiss Post will take care of picking up and delivering the laundry and will bring the fresh laundry folded back to one’s home on the desired date in a reusable package.
