Whirlpool Corp. has recently been recognized as an inclusive workplace by Seramount’s sixth annual Inclusion Index. This US-based index helps organizations understand trends and opportunities in demographic representation. The index is to create a road map to drive internal change and identifies diversity, equity and inclusion solutions.

For this sixth edition, organizations provided data and were measured in three key areas: 1) best practices in the recruitment, retention, and advancement of those from underrepresented groups – such as women, racial/ethnic minorities, people with disabilities, and LGBTQ+ people; 2) inclusive corporate culture, including leadership accountability; and 3) demographic diversity for women and racial/ethnic minorities. This year, 175 organizations applied to participate in the Inclusion Index.

Whirlpool was among 36 organizations recognized as a Leading Inclusion Index Company, receiving a 70 percent or higher score.
