‘Excellence in Laundry’ is CLA’s recently-held annual event bringing together laundromat operators, investors and industry suppliers. As always, the event is aimed at experienced, multi-store operators who want to learn innovative ideas and best practices to grow their business. Established in 1960, CLA, formerly the Coin Laundry Association, is the largest trade association in the US dedicated to the self-service laundry industry.
The annual three-day conference offers a mix of education sessions, panel discussions and interactive roundtables designed to address today’s operating challenges. Key areas are marketing, technology adoption, staffing, customer service, and scaling store portfolios. In addition to classroom-style learning, networking remains a central component of the event. Attendees have opportunities to connect with peers during scheduled events and informal gatherings, as well as engage directly with manufacturers, distributors and service providers demonstrating technologies and solutions aimed at improving store performance.
The conference coincides with ‘Excellent Women in Laundry’ (EWIL) – a separate but complementary program that focuses on networking and professional development for women in the industry.
