Standard Textile Co., Inc – a global provider in the healthcare and hospitality textile markets –  recently announced the launch of its ‘Take-Back Recycling Program’. This program is to underline the firm’s commitment to sustainability and environmental care while offering customers an efficient solution for linen disposal.

In the program, the company receives back retired linens that it then repurposes or ‘downcycles’ into other products, such as carpet padding or automobile insulation. To test the program’s processes and efficiency previous to the launch, the company partnered with two of their hospitality customers with more than 35 properties across the US and conducted a pilot throughout 2022 and 2023.

Planning to explore opportunities in other markets, the company invites participation from its hospitality customers across the US. Getting started is simple, because a minimal fee to cover freight and processing costs is required.
