Max Ziermann’s Training and Role:
Frank Ziermann’s youngest son, Max, underwent extensive training in Japan for six months. He spent three months assembling machines in production, followed by three months in troubleshooting and spare parts. Additionally, Max received hands-on experience in the USA, learning office organization, service, spare parts, marketing, and dealer management at San Koscher’s Chicago office, under the guidance of Wes Nelson, President of San Koscher USA.

Official Launch and Dealer Network Expansion:
As of June 20, 2024, Ziermann GmbH has officially become San Koscher’s representative for Europe. The company held its first meeting with all current European dealers to outline their plans and strategies for a comprehensive market coverage. Ziermann GmbH aims to expand its presence beyond the current markets of England, Belgium, France, Denmark, Italy, and Germany, targeting new partnerships in the Netherlands and other regions.

Innovative Technologies and Projects:
Frank Ziermann shared insights into innovative projects, such as a waterless washing machine developed in collaboration with the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and the University of Nuremberg. This machine uses micro-distillation and vacuum processes to maintain a closed water cycle, reducing energy consumption. The project, led by Manuel Ziermann, has been patented and is expected to be market-ready in approximately 18 months.

Next Generation Involvement:
Frank’s other children are also heavily involved in the business. Manuel is focusing on technical innovations, while Laura oversees spare parts, procurement, and field service in Bavaria. The family is proud of their latest P100 machine, designed for high-performance carpet cleaning, and their new black finishing series, which has already gained traction in the USA.

Future Plans:
Ziermann GmbH is considering relocating their headquarters to a more spacious site in Achern, potentially establishing a European Laundry and Cleaning Museum and Academy. This academy would focus on training and education within the industry, a crucial step towards addressing the current skills gap in comprehensive project management and technology integration.

Challenges and Opportunities:
The company recognizes the complexity of modern business operations and the need for a holistic approach to customer solutions. Frank Ziermann emphasized the importance of education and comprehensive project knowledge to help customers make informed investment decisions. Despite personal challenges, including family health issues, the Ziermann family remains committed to their vision, even exploring international recruitment to ensure their legacy continues.
Ziermann GmbH’s commitment to innovation, education, and strategic expansion underscores their role as a leader in the European market, poised to drive the industry’s transformation forward.
