Laundryheap expands European footprint

Laundryheap has recently announced its fourth acquisition in 20 months. The company is acquiring the digital assets of Paris-based offering Lavoir Moderne to expand its footprint in the French capital.

This take-over follows the company’s acquisition of fellow French competitor Wast. It means the UK-based enterprise is now the leading on-demand laundry and dry-cleaning provider in Paris.

In 2022, the firm acquired UK competitor Laundrapp and took over the direct-to-consumer operations of fellow UK provider Oxwash last April. These acquisitions have enabled the company to meet growing consumer demand and have strengthened its position across its 11 international markets. In addition to France, the company operates in the UK, US, Ireland, Denmark, the Netherlands, the UAE, Singapore, Bahrain, Kuwait and Qatar.

Founded in London in 2014 by Deyan Dimitrov, Mayur Bommai and Ruxandra Lica, the company offers a range of services to B2C customers, including 24-hour door-to-door services for laundry and dry-cleaning. They also work with B2B partners across the hospitality, tourism and service industries and have entered into key laundry partnerships with Holiday Inn, Premier Inn, JustEat, UnderTheDoormat, Ibis, and Best Western. In 2022, the company saw growth of 130 per cent.
