National events for the professionals in textile care to meet are extremely good for personal networking and meetings. Of course the introduction of new technologies is always a focus point, as also visitor numbers. The UK CleanEx show apeared to be an excellent meeting point for the UK industry as well as from an international perspective. The industry is becoming more dense, but nevertheless the majority of suppliers was satisfied with the response and contacts they were able to do.
Innovations
As also reported by suppliers below, several interesting new features and systems were introduced. There were over 10 software companies offering adequate solutions for supporting PTC businesses for Industrial as well as for retail applications. The UK market seems to adopt (new) automation and process steering software.
Most attractive was the new Sankosha PRESS FREE Tunnel Finisher for a variety of lightweight garments, such as shirts, blouses, etc. Especially, when high volumes with a high quality standard of finishing are required.
Marketing
Gradually marketing is more and more seen as an essential part of the business. Professional marketing is needed to follow changing market demands. Several suppliers of machinery like BÖWE and Renzacci, have developed clear marketing concepts to support their customers with insights and means to implement customer oriented marketing activities.
WORLD CONGRESS
CINET agreed with the UK GUILD of Launderers & Drycleaners to cooperate for acquiring participants for the Global Best Practices Awards 24 and preparing a UK Country Report for the WORLD CONGRESS in Frankfurt on November 8-9 of this year. The response was more than encouraging.
CleanEx Hospitality
The show was again organized at the famous Ascot Race Course facilities. A magnificent environment for an open and friendly atmosphere for good business. Mark and Tina Gleed, the organizers of the CleanEx show, demonstrated their warm hospitality during the show and the wonderful dinner in a nearby restaurant for over 100 guests.
Altogether, an excellent show for networking and business development.
