German chemical company BÜFA has taken over the Dutch TriStar Group. At the same time the company enters into a strategic partnership with the Swedish MacSerien group. With these actions, the company from Oldenburg is positioning itself in the cleaning sector and is expanding its customer base in other European countries.
With the takeover of TriStar and the partnership with MacSerien, the company intends to consolidate its position as a leading supplier of cleaning and disinfection products. Felix Thalmann – the company’s CEO – explains that after gaining locations in Europe in the chemicals and composites sector in recent years, the company’s intention now is international growth in the cleaning sector. Apart from that, strategic strengthening with sustainability technologies is a major ambition too, according to Thalmann.
So far, BÜFA has mainly focused on the cleaning area in the German market. This latest merger is aimed at being able to serve customers from Central and Northern Europe, as sales and technical service are available locally in many countries. BÜFA now covers markets in the DACH region, as well as in the Benelux countries, the Scandinavian countries and Estonia.
