The Canadian Fabricare Association is proud to hold its annual conference for members and non-members in the retail and manufacturing industry from November 18 to 20 at the Crowne Plaza Toronto Airport Hotel.
Toronto – October 25. The Canadian Fabricare Association (CFA) is a body of professional dry cleaners dedicated to the improvement of the Fabricare industry in Canada, through the establishment of good management practices, ethical conduct, top quality tra ining and strong
operating procedures. This year’s conference theme, The Road to Recovery, is a reference to the hard work of our industry during challenging times and an introduction to the many opportunities for growth and innovation. “The way we do things now may not fit tomorrow’s plans. We need to unite now more than ever to meet the challenges in an ever-changing climate, to understand customers’ needs and to assume an even greater commitment to our environment”, says Dino Kantzavelos, President at CFA.
The CFA is proud to have distinguished keynote speakers such as former profe ssional NHL player Daryl Sittler, and Jacquelyn Stevens, Partner and Environmental Lawyer at Willms & Shier. Maintaining the customer’s trust and providing top quality service using both solvent and aqueous cleaning methods is CFA’s priority. A strong association, represented by members that are all certified environmental cleaners, is imperative to keep our air and water safe while continuing to provide impeccable service and being at the forefront of new eco-friendly products and innovative technology.
The role of the CFA has grown over the years to not only foster the exchange of crucial business insights, but also to protect the interests of the industry by advocating to all levels of government to remind them of the thousands of jobs that are associated with fabricare industry.
For instance, the allied trades that provide equipment, product sales and facilitate technical support with skilled trades. The trickle -down effect is significant, especially now being on the other side of the pandemic. During the last three years, the ind ustry has lost over 30% of its
workforce. “Our industry depends on a strong association to represent their concerns to governments and insure that the industry portrays the imminent growth that is coming our way”, adds Dino Kantzavelos, President at CFA.
