GOA, August 27 – 29th, the Drycleaning & Laundry Association of India DLAI, organised their Annual Convention in the Novotel at GOA. A perfect venue for a professional, but also Informal Annual National Convention. The New DLAI Committee and Board 2024 were elected by the Members and Mr. Suresh Bahtia was elected for the 3rd time as DLAI President. The Central theme for this year was business development. A wide variety of topics were chosen to support DLAI members in their successfull work for increasing NEW businesses.

An Educational Gateway
Over 200 professionals found their way to Goa representing strong brands and professional companies. In meetings and discussions optimization of processing and the future business focus were Key. An atractive program adressing a wide variety of issues stimulating business development. “An Educational Gateway on challenges, new machines, and cleaning of products”, as President Suresh Bahtia called it in his opening statement.

Informal, Open atmosfere
The choice for Goa appeared to be a good one. Direct from the beginning the personal encounters were warm and to the point. The show was located near the SPA area and the Conference Hall provided modern facilities for professional presentations. Experts, suppliers, industry panels and speakers adressed the latest new technologies and insights.

Personal Contacts
Well known suppliers from India such as Rossari, IFB, Stefab, as well as international brands as SEITZ, Diversey and Ecolab were presenting themselves and provided the latest technologies. These suppliers have either own facilities in India or are represented by India distributors. Usefull practical info was provided which created lively and in depth discussions. An open exchange of information and good strengthening of personal contacts.

INDIA Performance
PTC Business is doing phenominal in India with double digit growth figures and even more great opportunities are foreseen. India is ready for the World of PTC, but is the world ready for India? Experts, consultants, modern management principles are becoming regular business practices. New trends, technologies and technigues are adopted fast and effectively. The National trade association DLAI, is getting more structured and becomming a strong industry association. DLAI is leading the discussion for step by step industry development and excellent national and international dialog for supporting the PTC industry perspective and growth.

CINET WORLD CONGRESS
On behalf of CINET, Ceo Peter Wennekes explained the objectives and structure of CINET and highligted international projects and activities. The World trends and developments of PTC were put in perspective and specifics on Modern Business Models were explained. In this case in particular the World Congress was discussed and the invite for India professionals to join that event in HINDI language was welcomed. An Official India delegation of some 25 organisations /professionals will participate in the World Congress Program and will showcase what India has to offer to the world of PTC and vice versa. This program is planned for November 8 in the afternoon.
