On a flying visit to Britain and Ireland, Sudhir Batra, contacted the Guild of Cleaners and Launderers and was invited to dinner at Launderers Hall in London.
Sudhir is the Managing Partner of Mercury Cleaners, Dyers, and Darners, which operate from 5 sites in India, and also Vice President of The DLAI, and was introduced to Guild President, Ron Davidson FGCL and David Stevens, Chief Executive of the Textile Services Association (TSA).
On the photograph on the right is Sudhir being greeted by the newly installed Master of the Worshipful Company of Launderers and it was the “Installation Dinner” at Launderers Hall of Master, Simon Fordham, that Ken Cupitt had invited him to be his guest.
In the following days of July Guild President, Ron Davidson FGCL, will be showing Sudhir more of London after he (Sudhir) has been to Scotland and seen family relations in the UK.
Mercury Dry Cleaners are also associated to CINET, the International Committee of Textile Care, a global network of researchers and practitioners interested in sharing and developing their knowledge and experience of textile care, who brokered the contact between Sudhir Batra and Ken Cupitt.
