Pre-seed funding for next generation laundromat software start-up

Turns – a vertical SaaS start-up that provides a modern full stack operating system for the laundromats industry – has raised $0.5 Million in pre-seed funding.

The company states to provide laundromat owners with an integrated software and hardware solution that not only includes a modern POS system and customer management, but also payments, accounting, employee management and logistics optimization – making it an “all-in-one control centre for laundromat owners”. The company has signed up more than 50 laundromats and drycleaners across eight countries, including the United States and is targeting 1,000 customers within the coming 12 to 18 months.

In 2015, company founders Sukanth Srivastav and Vishal Gupta launched a laundry start-up in India, which led to the development of their new company. According to Sukanth, laundromats and cleaners are an example of ‘main street businesses’ in the United States being underserved by modern software. Vishal states that laundromats need state-of-the-art software to deliver the experience that is being demanded by both B2C and B2B customers. Their company aims at providing an all-in-one system that laundromat owners can operate easily in order to create excellent customer experience.
