Future Leader in the US Laundry Industry presents herself….

Julia Milch is vice president of growth strategy for US-based Laundrylux. Before joining the company, she spent three years with Microsoft as a CRM solutions specialist and in business development. Since her grandfather Bernie Milch was one of the pioneers of the industry, she grew up hearing stories of how he helped build the commercial laundry business in America. In a recently published interview she presented her vision for the future. Some highlights:

At college, Ms Milch became interested in technology and later discovered her own affinity for the laundry industry. She considers the industry dynamic and engaging, with much opportunity to bring what people learn in the technology world. Julia states that the industry is constantly changing and evolving. In her opinion the most challenging aspect is navigating that change when there is a clash between the old way of doing things and the new way.

As for the future, Julia is excited to see how the business develops from a hardware-focused offering to both hardware and software.  Julia: “During and after the pandemic, we’ve certainly seen an influx of different types of investors considering the laundry business. It’s been exciting to work with experienced business leaders from other industries who’ve come into ours and brought their differing experiences and expectations”.
