Expo Detergo Srl – owner of the Expo Detergo trade show – and the AIFL association – Associazione Italiana Fornitori Lavanderie – have elected a new Board of Directors. The newly elected President of Expo Detergo is Livio Bassan, and for AIFL, Paolo Cartabbia. The boards is renewed every four years.
The newly elected Board consists of 10 highly experienced people, including younger members to bring vitality and new impulses to the Association. Mr Cartabbia – the new AIFL president – will be entitled to attend all meetings, supported by the four AIFL Vice-Presidents that represent the strategic market sectors of the association: professional ironing, machinery, textiles and spare parts – logistics, and detergents.
In a recent interview the two new Presidents said that their main goal will be to exploit all instruments available – especially the Detergo Communication System and the EXPOdetergo International trade fair – in order to bring the international dynamics of the entire textile care sector in focus. They also stated that prudent and pragmatic management would be needed in order to boost internationalisation of the trade fair, as well as collaboration with some other international players, such as Texcare.
