American Dry Cleaning Company Reports New Acquisition in London (UK)

American Dry Cleaning Company (ADCC) has recently announced their acquisition of Perkins Dry Cleaners in London – a 45 year old established business. According to Julian Stone – founder of ADCC the acquisition is to add and strengthen something special that is in scarce supply in the industry: old school craftsmen that really know the art of dry-cleaning and laundry.

The company now has 45 sites across exclusive London postcodes and Perkins is the third acquisition this year, including two new vacant shop openings. Stone saw the opportunity as attractive due to the retirement of the owners and it meant he would be inheriting a great team and it also responds to continual requests from their collection and delivery customers in Holland Park to have a high street presence.

Stone also states that as the economy has suffered over the last 12 months, opportunities have arisen with businesses that they have been in discussions with prior to the pandemic. He explains that the type of garments coming in are different from before the pandemic. It is  now more household, laundry and wash and fold work, but he hopes that as the economy recovers the suits, shirts and party work will return.
