Covid19 Aftermath … Customer Care by Virtual Reality!

Electrolux Professional recently launched a new remote guidance app which can help customers complete a number of service and maintenance tasks on its professional laundry equipment. The new application is called Two Pairs of Eyes and uses augmented reality technology. It is available on mobile and tablet devices and allows service and maintenance technicians to remotely guide customers through basic servicing, repair and maintenance tasks, as well as remote training and product tutorials.

The app enables that any necessary restorative work can take place on sites with strict access limitations. Apart from that, the tool is stated to offer serious advantages over a standard video call, such as problems being solved 30% faster, with 50% less errors. The waiting times and associated costs for service visits can be cut, and downtime for end-users who are currently open and operating can also be minimised.

Darren Lockley, the company’s head of region UK & Ireland commented: “Social distancing certainly presents a challenge when it comes to maintaining and servicing equipment. This tool is designed exactly for that, and can eliminate a lot of the confusion caused by other forms of remote diagnostics.” The app is available on IOS, Android and Windows devices.
