French hospitality group Accor recently launched their ‘Health to Wealth’ program to increase overall awareness concerning those topics. The American Hilton group has launched a similar program ‘Travel Experiences that Connect the Mind, Body and Spirit’.
This company conducted a survey among travellers and 98% of the participants stated to value wellness activities while on vacation. According to Matt Schuyler – the company’s chief brand officer – the survey showed that travellers are in search of wellness-centred moments that expand beyond the gym and spa. The company is providing experiences to fulfil those needs – from expert-led nature excursions to immersive yoga and meditation retreats.
Accor is also eager to increase the wellness element in their offerings by a series of expert podcasts that will deal with topics such as: the impact of nutritional health on business performance, responses to waste and fitness, resilience and countering stress.
According to Emlyn Brown – the company’s Global Vice President of Well-Being – the company has the intention to bring their mission of care to a next level. The aim is to be able to inspire mental and physical wholeness and a greater sense of well-being in what is a very complex and ever-changing world.
