C&A partners with Spanish material sciences specialist

European retail-company C&A and Spanish material sciences company Recover – a global producer of low-impact, high-quality recycled cotton fibre and cotton fibre blends – have entered into a new strategic four-year partnership to bring high-quality recycled cotton to everyday garments.

This coming spring the companies will show their commitment to circularity with C&A’s Clockhouse range collection made with Recover fibre. Both companies have decades of experience within their respective fields and a track record in trying to achieve greater circularity. The partnership is aimed at using recycled cotton as the core ingredient of a more sustainable fashion industry. The Spanish company – with its extensive expertise and scaling capacities, will act as the main cotton source. It will not only integrate its fibre into C&A’s supply chain structure, but also provide tech support to help the spinners and weavers optimise the yarns and fabrics.

Together, the partners aim to develop a strong and scalable circular ecosystem in Europe based on post-consumer materials.
