Christeyns – a leading European producer of hygiene chemicals – recently acquired Eurosanex in Spain. Eurosanex is a specialist manufacturer of products for professional hygiene, food and laundry, as well as personal hygiene. The new acquisition is based on the company’s strategy to enhance its activities in the professional hygiene market and increase the Professional Hygiene department turnover from €65 million in 2020 to €120 million in 2023.
Eurosanex was founded in 1087 and currently employs 30 people and realised a turnover of approx. €10 million in 2020. The company has a modern and well-equipped factory and has developed a wide portfolio in which environmentally friendly cleaning and disinfection products are prominent. They serve a broad network of customers located in more than 15 countries. Its CEO – Antonio Bartual – stated that this acquisition will enable his company to give continuity to a project that started more than 30 years ago. They worked hard and were already were part of the Christeyns family. In the new situation he expects that the entire team will have the opportunity to grow with Christeyns professionally.
On the other hand, the acquisition is meant to make Christeyns Spain more competitive, according to Ramón Berto – company country manager in Spain. Not only at a national level, but also beyond the Spanish borders.
