CINET’s Retail Innovation Webinar: The Post-Corona Future is Digital

Continuously driven by its role as the PTC’s global umbrella organization, CINET is amplifying the initiatives in creating international open-platforms for sharing knowledge and experience during the coronavirus crisis. This is done with the support of reputed experts in the Professional Textile Care industry, national associations, international suppliers and individual organizations. 

The Coronavirus Webinar on September 15th showed one more time that digitization and innovation are essential in order to generate new business, new customers and new revenues in Corona times. Participants from 18 countries, representing drycleaning and wetcleaning companies, franchise chains, National Associations and international suppliers joined the Retail Webinar.

The RTC Webinar was mediated by Peter Wennekes  and was divided into some major chapters. In the first segment,  “The need for PTC to change; reaching end of lifecycle in mature markets”, Peter Wennekes underlined  the need for professionals in the industry to embrace the digitization field and the results that can be achieved through it.

A switch from top-down process to a rapid experimentation in terms of innovation. The next segment of the webinar was presented by Leon Wennekes on how is digitization applied to capture new customer groups, with a focus on new PTC Markets: insights, e-commerce & co-creation, as well as on digital marketing & (new) product development. In the showcases selected from all over the world, Leon Wennekes emphasised the importance of data and of analysis thought consumer segments, as a basis to evaluate the business perspectives for the future.

Partners Presentations. The Digitization Webinar’s Partners, Electrolux Professional and GreenEarth presented their company’s last developments on the field of innovation.

Christoph Richter, Global Segment Manager Consumer Operated & Cleaning Shops, Electrolux Professional presented the company’s full-barrier concept, as well as the OnE concept’s features. Tim Maxwell (President) and Aaron Newport (Marketing Manager) from GreenEarth presented the group’s affiliate marketing approach, as well as the role of digitization in GreenEarth’s marketing and communication campaigns during the pandemic.
