The 2019 edition of the Clean Show took place in New Orleans, USA at the Ernest Memorial Convention Center from 20-23 June. The show was (as always) very well organized. The 2019 edition will be the last Clean Show which is organized by John Riddle and his team at Riddle & Associates since Messe Frankfurt has bought the show earlier this year.
Exhibitor response
The figures haven’t been published yet but although the number of visitors seems to have gone down the quality of the conversations was good according to exhibiting suppliers. The visitors that traveled to New Orleans showed that they are serious about developing new ideas for their businesses and so this resulted in detailed discussions about new projects. As seems to be a trend globally the goal of visiting a trade show seems officially to have changed. Where trade shows used to be all about new products the show nowadays is much more about networking and gaining in depth knowledge.

Press conference Messe Frankfurt
At the show a press conference was organize by Messe Frankfurt with support of the leading sponsor associations (and previous owners of the show). Messe Frankfurt organizes some 150 trade shows globally. The acquisition of the Clean Show fits well with the strategy of Messe Frankfurt to become the leading show organizer for the professional laundry industry around the world. This is showcased amongst others by the recent acquisition and partnership with various other shows such as JET Expo, Texcare Forum India, Gulf Laundrex and the merger of Texcare Asia with China Laundry Expo.
