Corporate fashion has become more than work wear. It has developed into a means of belonging together and more than even shows the identification of employees with a company. Protection and chic, as well as sustainability and fit are the requirements of today’s work wear.
The A&A – a leading international trade fair for personal protection, occupational safety and health at work – to be held in Düsseldorf 5-8 November – will no doubt present the latest trends, products and innovations. Which products are in trend with corporate fashion and may soon present new tasks for the textile care industry? Some highlights:
- Next-to-skin materials play an important role. As well as the outer layer – which protects against wind, moisture, heat and ensures better thermoregulation – which is as light as possible and yet highly resistant.
- Inspired by sport and leisure – together with higher demands and the growing self-confidence of competent professionals – workwear specialists developed ‘emotional’ products that are functional, meant to express competence, underpin the sense of being and correspond to the zeitgeist.
- Materials and fits have been further developed to increase the comfort while maintaining protection. All in all, ”lightweight , soft and at the same time robust and hard-wearing” are the characteristics of the new workwear materials.
