Electrolux issued Guidelines to Face Current Cleaning and Hygiene Challenges

Electrolux Professional has launched a comprehensive advisory document detailing cleaning and hygiene best practice guidelines for a variety of UK textile care businesses.

The document is called ‘Clean, Sanitise, Decontaminate – How to choose your solution’. It not only assesses the sanitary challenges sector is currently faced with across a number of industries, but it also provides advice on the appropriate cleaning solutions to diminish the potential spread of infection. The document further classifies industries and applications into three different risk levels. Each risk level is then matched with suitable equipment and technology, ranging from traditional commercial washing and drying technology, to barrier washers and laundry appliances suitable for solving complicated decontamination issues. The guide also provides specific advice on the cleaning of reusable personal protective equipment, and how to prevent cross-contamination.

Darren Lockley – head of region at the company’s UK & Ireland company – explains: “Now more than ever, cleaning and hygiene are at the forefront of business leaders’ minds. There is no room for error when it comes to decontamination, and it is vitally important that organisations can access impartial, concise and clear guidance to the cleaning and hygiene challenges business are facing.”
