Girbau Industrial introduces next generation FRB Flatwork Folder (Spain)

Girbau Industrial recently introduced the FRB Flatwork Folder – a highly programmable folder offering one, two or four feeding lanes. Furthermore, the FRB has the ability to automatically perform two to three primary folds and up to three cross folds. Ideal for the folding of small and large items alike, the FRB works seamlessly with any model ironer or stacker.

The FRB Flatwork Folder Inteli control system is simple to use and allows operators to easily program and execute the functions of the folder. Using air-jet technology, the FRB offers as well an advanced touch-screen control, multi-program operation, and quality components for consistent, quality folding. The thickness of the article is automatically taken into account during the first cross-fold. A retractable pneumatic roller works in conjunction with a mechanical blade to automatically adjust the opening distance for the thickness of the item. This ensures FRB folds precisely thicker items – duvet covers, bedspreads and large sheets.

The advanced touch-screen control features a series of graphic menus to eliminate operator language barriers. The control enables 99 program options to fit specific folding requirements and utilizes network communication with feeders and ironers. To facilitate optimum productivity, the control features management capabilities including reporting on item/program counts and overall operating time.

The laundry-feeding belt has a multi-position design, being thus adaptable to any ironer on the market. The adjustable speed control with inverter make the FRB capable of processing up to 164 feet per minute.
