Historic Hotel Reinvents Limited Laundry Space (USA)

In the time that everyone was mainly focused on the COVID-19 pandemic, Mike Mosele – director of Engineering at a US-based Hilton Hotel – saw new chances to improve the hotel’s market position.  He realized that its laundry facility could do with more efficiency and reliability. The current ironer did not offer the quality and production the property needed.

It would a challenging project, since the five-star hotel maintains many 1916 details, including a smaller laundry space that was the norm over a century ago. Fortunately, the supplier understood the dilemma. Removing the old ironer for two new ironers required inventive rigging solutions and disassembling and reassembling a majority of the equipment to fit it through the side of the 29-story glass tower hotel.
