At the beginning of January 2021, a generation change in laundry technology manufacturer Herbert Kannegiesser GmbH’s management team is to take place. Martin Kannegiesser will step down and from then on, his daughter Tina will take over and lead the company as chairman of the management board. She will be supported by three managing directors: Engelbert Heinz (technology), Thomas Doppmeier (business administration and finance) and Otto Burger (marketing and sales).
As the company sees itself as a technology partner for worldwide laundry, its core task will remain customer support by efficient implementations through technology and organization. The firm started in 1948 with the making of electrically heated shirt ironing presses. In the 1950s, the laundry industry was added.
As son of the founder, Martin took over in the 1960s and dIvided the enterprise into separate product units. During the 1990s he started to focus on laundry equipment and bought companies to form a complete laundry program. He envisioned the company as a technology partner of the laundry industry. As such a leading position has been developed, with 2,000 employees, a consolidated annual turnover of over 400 million euros and operations in 54 countries with 16 subsidiaries.
