Klopman introduces supply chain portal

Klopman –  a European producer of technical fabrics for workwear – carries on improving its production processes. The company intends to aim at optimising its supply chain processes by an innovative, dedicated portal.

The web-based application –  ‘Supplier Portal’ – is being shared with suppliers in order to accelerate the information flow between all parties, as well as optimising time and processes. Because of the changes that have globally taken place for businesses as a result of the pandemic, companies have been confronted with serious obstructions in the supply chain. The acquisition of raw materials for instance – primarily from Asia – emphasized the vulnerability of the entire procurement system.

It also showed the need of the accuracy and timing of trading information for reliable performance across the whole supply chain.

The ‘Supplier Portal’ provides a shared end-to-end vision of the company’s supply chain process. It is to create interaction with suppliers and to promote transparency in the supply chain. On the one hand, suppliers will get access to all the documentary information regarding their orders. Whereas Klopman will be able to track the progress of all orders and related information. These data will be available to each department throughout the entire organisation.
