Making Laundry Cool!

Going to the laundromat to do the week’s laundry can be a rather dull and monotonous routine. Across the U.S., some laundromat owners not only try to change this notion, but also improve the reputation of the vended laundry industry. They created a mixture of unique building and design materials, high-tech laundry equipment and payment options together with funny, tasty and entertaining experiences.

Some examples:
Capitol Quick Wash in Milwaukee, Wisconsin integrated some of the latest trends in design to create an industrial look and feel that is cool to look at. They have Atmosphere TV and a sound system installed that may play music a bit louder than most places would dare… but it is all part of the atmosphere. The Laundry Café in Philadelphia has a mission focused on the challenges that bother poor communities of the inner city. The  pillars of their mission include: Childhood literacy, Financial literacy in unbanked communities and Healthcare disparities.
