Messe Frankfurt’s Protection and Hygiene Concept Enables Face-to-face Meetings

Messe Frankfurt has developed a protection and hygiene concept that combines detailed hygienic, medical and organisational measures. The concept is to ensure that events can resume safely. Hygiene, social distancing and a supply of fresh air are important factors in the concept, which has been approved by the relevant authorities. The concept will be implemented at the first events in the autumn and also at the upcoming Heimtextil, to be held from 12-15 January 2021.

Olaf Schmidt, the company’s Vice President Textiles & Textile Technologies : “There is a huge desire to meet face to face. The need to exchange information about new products, trend and market developments is there and also the wish to give business activities a boost after the restart.”

The concept’s top priority is the health and safety of all exhibitors, visitors, partners and employees. The organisation is following recommendations of the German Robert Koch Institute. They  have led to larger stands, wider aisles, safe stand construction concepts and comprehensive hygiene measures. Furthermore, gastronomic outlets will remain in line with the local applicable regulations for gastronomy and traceability of all participants will be guaranteed. The organisation ensures that protection and hygiene measures are constantly being adapted.
