Mr. Alejandro Laquidain, New President Of GINETEX

At the GINETEX General Assembly, Mr. Alejandro Laquidain was unanimously elected and appointed President of the International Association for Textile Care Labelling, and will be taking his new responsibilities on 1st January 2021. As a member of the Board of Directors of Consejo Intertextil Español (CIE) – the National Committee representing GINETEX in Spain since 2016 – Mr. Alejandro Laquidain has served as Vice-President of GINETEX for the past year. He succeeds to Mr. Adam Mansell, CEO of  UK’s Fashion & Textile Associatios (UKFT)

Ginetex, the International Association for Textile Care Labeling, has devised an internationally applicable care labeling system for textiles based on symbols. The pictograms used are registered trademarks and are property of GINETEX. The care labeling system gives consumers and textile companies the correct information on the care treatment of textile products. GINETEX is composed of 23 national organization members. These organizations represent all textile care and labeling stakeholders.
