Texcare Asia 2017: Rental, Eco-friendly, digitization and automation for further growth of PTC in China

Shanghai – The 2017 edition of Texcare Asia was organized from 27-29 September in the New International Exhibition Centre in Shanghai. This trade show had an exhibition floor of 20.000m2 with 171 exhibitors from 23 countries. The show organizer Messe Frankfurt Shanghai expected some 11.000 visitors for this edition, the result is still to be published.

Upscaling & professionalization

In line with the previous edition in 2015 the China market for PTC is still in vast development. The market is professionalizing and growing towards more serious businesses that implement all sorts of best practices that can be observed in mature markets. The bigger companies keep on scaling up and the number of smaller companies has actually declined a little bit (according to a 2017 market study published by CLA). This development is clearly reflected in feedback from the exhibitors at Texcare Asia, the visitors are making serious inquiries with most ambitious plans to set up or develop their business.

Novelties

The show of 2017 focused less on tunnel washers than the 2015 edition but all the more transportation equipment for automated processing. Nevertheless a special attention went out for Kannegiesser that introduced it’s new Powertrans Vario continuous batch washer at Texcare Asia 2017. The new tunnel washer that is build to provide a commercial laundry with a solution that can cope with hygiene and diversity for the textile. At the same time the process is most cost-effective, has a high volume performance and a constant availability. Naturally Jensen had novelties to present as well, the definite highlight was the new production facility in Xuzhou which is going to produce the new ALPHA by JENSEN line of washing machines.
