UK-based CLEAN rewarded for maintaining high health and safety standards

Independent laundry supplier CLEAN has received two awards for maintaining high standards in health and safety. The company was – for a seventh consecutive year – named a Gold Merit Award winner at the RoSPA Health and Safety Awards 2019 last June, a few days after receiving Alcumus SafeContractor accreditation.

The prestigious annual scheme, run by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), recognises organisations that can demonstrate well-developed occupational health and safety management systems, a culture that is aware of and able to identify potential hazards, outstanding control of risk and very low levels of error, harm and loss. Alcumus SafeContractor is a leading third-party accreditation scheme which recognises extremely rigorous standards in health and safety management among contractors. CLEAN has been accredited since 2013.

Matt De La Bertauche, the company’s Head of Group Health, Safety and Environment stated: “Our company is committed to providing safe environments for our 1,400 members of staff to work in and we ensure that rigorous safety checks and effective procedures are implemented across all seven of our sites.”
