World Laundry Industry Summit Forum showcases booming opportunities in China and the launch of CERCLEAN Certification!

Beijing – The World Laundry Forum Industry Summit was organized on September 25th, an event which was attended by some 350 Chinese laundry professionals. The China Laundry Association (CLA) based in Beijing organized a most interesting Forum program with expert speakers from industry leaders like Kannegiesser, Haier and Weishi. At this event the Chinese Laundry Association and CINET undersigned a five year agreement regarding the implementation of the International CERCLEAN(R) Certification program and the launch of the World of PTC Business School in China.

 

CERCLEAN for China

The CERCLEAN program is going to offer 108.000 Chinese Laundries and 1 million+ employees, an easy accessible solution to meet today’s requirements for using hygienical and high quality textiles in Chinese hospitals, hotels, food  processing and numerous other sectors as well as Chinese consumer markets. Beside Hygiene standards, the CERCLEAN International Certificate includes standardized processing and  implementation of sustainable and safe working methods. The first Chinese laundry who adopted this program was Fornet, the fastest growing Chinese retail textile cleaner with 1200 shops in 300+ cities.

 

World of PTC Business School

In line with CERCLEAN a contract was signed for the World of PTC Business School, including the start of a train the trainer program throughout China, a pilot program of workshops and the availability of e-learning to create Masters in PTC.

 

China Laundry Expo

Besides the fourth World Laundry Forum Industry Summit the 18th edition of the China Laundry Expo took place from September 26-28. This trade show is a platform for international and Chinese domestic PTC, aimed to stimulate knowledge exchange and exhibit the latest technologies available. The Expo took place at the China International Exhibition Center, Beijing.

This year the China Laundry Expo covered a 15,000m² fairground with 180 exhibitors. The number of this year’s visitors wasn’t announced yet, the 2015 edition had 11.651 visitors. The main two themes for this year’s program were Green Laundry and Intelligence laundry (digitization). This year, as special emphasis on green laundry is most likely the resulted of more strict governmental regulations. The Chinese government is setting new regulations for the China laundry industry with regard to water savings, energy savings, waste water treatment, hygiene standards and environmental protection.
